NavWorld for replacement Garmin HR monitor @ R499

After putting my Garmin HRM strap and sensor in such a place that I could never find it again I was ready to pull the trigger on a replacement one for R1200-ish. Pleasantly surprised when I went into NavWorld in Strydom Park, and was offered a "spare part version" for R499

It didn't come in a box, just the soft strap and latest sensor (with apparently easier to change battery)

Made my Friday, now just to find something to spend the extra R800 in my wallet on!

did you see if they had any other things in the 'spare part division', like a cadence sensor?

such prices may make me inclined to get one for each of my bikes

Jeeezuz it annoys me when my cycling room get "rearranged for me"..... Things are where I left them for a reason!!!

Tell me about it! And then they sit there like nothing is wrong and I'm going thermo-fkn-nuclear!

No, and to be honest, I didn't ask either. Maybe phone them and see before you go through there. JMPD had a "traffic check"and the traffic was a mess.

You lucky. I was there last week with a faulty Garmin HRM and they couldn't help me.

I ended up buying another ANT+ HRM, still much cheaper than the usual Garmin price and it's working well with my forerunner watch.

You okes and your cycling rooms... Kla met 'n witbrood onder die arm

My cycling room shares space with 4 motorbikes, my radio control planes, a chest freezer and a fridge: one half of our garage. My poor car has to stay outside!

Edit: Apologies.... completely off topic.
