sweat on shades

Hi. I wear a pair of d'arcs shades when I go ride. The problem I have is that I sweat a lot in this heat. The sweat is running all over the lenses. What can I do to keep it off the shades?

I wear those tie on skull cap cotton beanies/like the surgical caps, under my helmet ...get them from the Chinese shop for about R10

a piece. They wick the sweat off your brow reducing the drip into your eyes and lenses.

you do get the more expensive sport  ones

You can use those buffs but or skull cap as mentioned above.

Also, you could smear some petroleum jelly over your brow to wick sweat away.

(seriously, lot's of gloves have a softer area here meant for wiping stuff...)

Since I've changed helmets (both a mtb and road one in the last year) this has become an issue for me too. I'm also not always riding in a section at that moment to wipe my forehead or clean the glasses... It is becoming dangerous!

Adidas climacool head band and a pair of adidas evil eye evo pros with sweat band and its hydrophobic, ive tried it all and sweat alot and always have sweat in eyes, fogging & sweat on glasses but this combo works, rode 7hr15 Attakwas without taking off .... was really impressed

I had that when I changed race helmets. I had been using Rudy's for a couple of seasons with no worries at all, swapped over to another higher end brand and as soon as the temp went up sweat either hammered my glasses or gave me a nice dose of HTFU by pouring into my eyes...

More about what the helmet does than the glasses.

Did see a weird rubber channel that you slipped under the very front of you helmet that took everything away from the eyes. Looked odd but seemed to make a bit of sense and less hippy than the do-rag options.

Buy a bottle of c-thru and put it on the lenses - they will clear quicker

Yip that works like a charm, you can also get a small bottle of anti mist from any local optometrist it works well but sunscreen becomes a bit of a problem to clean in a hurry.
