I'm currently awaiting my selector in the mail, and will confirm if it works for a 9 speed SRAM X9 shifter shortly.

Yup, 9 speed to 11.  The only limit will probably be imposed by my old X9 rear derailleur, but we will see what gear range it can handle.

Me personally, I have attempted opening a shifter once, something flew out of it at the speed of light. I did find it but ended up taking it to my LBS to reassemble!!

Did you read the comments on Bikerumour - many were speculating whether SRAM would want to stop them from selling this.

 

And they were laughing at the price in ZA Ronts.

 

I reckon these guys could sell a bucket load of these things - may get copied quickly.

I subscribe to a couple of threads on PB. 4, to be precise. I saw the link, commented and shared. 5 min max. I get quite a bit of down-time after the kid goes to sleep, so I use it to trawl the fora. 

 

Sites I frequent - PB; Hub (2 most often) then Vital, NSMB, Bikerumour. Sniffpetrol. I prefer surfing the web to watching TV...

They're tricky little bastards, are shifters. Like to be treated just right.
