2 different types of ride violations.

rider riding on private land without permission = rogue rider

rider going on paid trails without permit/paying = trail thief

this guy is neither - he just went on a no access area by ignoring signs..

Unfortunately, shaper, for us folk it's a very real problem. Our access to the trails is very delicately managed and we've seen the effects of rogue riding all too often. So imo the seriousness of this problem should not be discounted

Come on Myles,.....Really! Seeeeeeerioooously.

This problem can't be on the same scale as government corruption or DA moaning, or ANC apathy or hogging the right lane while driving even.

Its also not as serious as a "Did Jesus exist" debate..

Rogue riding is a first world problem. its also a leisure problem, sort of on the scale of arriving at your favourite camping site only to discover some oom en tanie nicked your favourite spot.

I agree with Armpies, its these small issues that are constantly overlooked which is the reason why this country is the way it is.

We have a total disregard for rules because it doesnt suit us, the constant breaking of rules becomes the norm and socially accepted. This is actually where society as a whole begins to crumble and lawlessness take over.

I am no angel by any means but I do try my best and most importantly consider others.

The knob that road the trail is an inconsiderate twat and needs to be dealt with.

Not if said Oom en Tannie didn't pay for it......

Or said Oom and Tannie were camping in a "no camping" area....

If said Oom and Tannie got there before you, paid their fees and camped on your favourite spot which wasnt currently under maintenance they aren't rogue campers, that just makes them early risers, which most old people are.

Totally agree. The 'broken window' approach the used to clean up NYC in the 90's made a big difference to the city. It's the small things that cause the big things. One who two douches cost us Kliprug. One or two chancers plonk their caravan, play loud music, annoy the entire campsite. And Zuma's crap has been slowly eating away at the country through progressively more egregious acts that started years ago with a couple of people keeping quite with a dollar here and a few dollars more there.

And an inconvenience to 3000+ members of the TBMB club may not be in the same time zone as the horror caused to 3000 people on other hideous days in history, but to those 3000 people it does matter.

Broken window approach is exactly what I was thinking about when I was typing, its the small things that need to be dealt with and the rest will fall in line.
