yep, full ban on all recreational activities within the reserve, and within the station itself, probably due to possible strike actions.

I see a drone crashed in Koeberg's grounds and people are being suspended and disciplined. Perhaps this is the reason for suspension of cycling there..

more about the implications of if that toy had a camera on and if so what did it record and why and then can that same toy at a later stage carry and explosive or incendiary device to the plant after first doing and "innocent" recce?

 

I can understand, and appreciate that they take this seriously. This is after all a rather sensitive site, yes I know it is "just Koeberg" that we all know as the lump of concrete with a couple of bokkies living on it's perimeter ..... but I would rather have them enforce a high standard of security, even if they are now reviewing their standard policy and sharpening up on the staff before letting us plebs back in.

I was there on the weekend and I have an OCA. I left it in the car like I always do and the guards wanted to see it when I rode past. Big trouble. Anyway, the guards already said from Monday it would closed to everyone. So I am not sure if it is that big of a story.

Koeberg trails closed form Saturday 20 Aug till Friday 26 Aug due to road maintenance being performed.

We went there this morning, what a pleasure. Friendly guards at the gate, shaded parking, and can see how they upgraded the roads.
