Avianto trails

Hey all!

Thinking of doing Avianto on Monday. What's the status and condition of the trails... Haven't been in quite a while.

Specifically thinking of doing the blue route on the avianto side and the phambili side (other side) of the road.

I would usually pay a visit to Heia Safari, but thinking of skipping it this time in light of some politics happening over there.

Avianto is superb. Well maintained.

Both sides.

it's loose and rocky in some sections, but it just adds to the fun.

Enjoy!

all proceeds collected also goes directly to the guys doing the actual maintenance on the trail...and not some evil land magnate...

Hi all

Anybody recently done Avianto trails?

Could you direct me to your Strava activity or GPX file?

Just a bump on this... Keen to go do some proper distance at Avianto shortly.

Did a short ride at Avianto about a month back, only rode part of the trails on the western side of the tar road.  Trails was in good condition.

Also saw on Facebook that from tomorrow Fridays will be "ride for free".

Will probably go do the blue route tomorrow, so will be able to give you feedback thereafter on condition of trails, or a link to strava activity.

Rode Pambili blue route last weekend, they reversed the direction on all the trails a few months back so now a clockwise loop.  The trail is in good condition but the change in direction does make for some properly challenging short sharp rocky climbs.

They are well marked from Avianto but during the week you need to go out of their main gate and in through the old hotel entrance to get to the Pambele trails as their back gate is locked.
