I received my seeding mail for Juma and seems I will welcome the 22km winners before I set of...

Somehow they used my seeding from some time back...before i knew which side the pedals should turn... but I am leaving it at that... not going to start a whole pizzing contest for a few batch upgrades.

SOOOO looking forward to this event, I am sure this will be a hummdinger worth all the wait and parking pain.

See you guys at the start line...or beer tent!

yes I also noticed seeding data a bit weird / old / random.

like you say; no point whinging. keep your focus on that beer at the end, and have fun!

I rate they were just plain LAZY... coz mine is EXACTLY the same as my event info from last years entry. Same batch and all that....

Got a free entry, will be there as well.

Edit:

I will be mostly going for the beer tent afterwards...I hear it could be the most entertaining part of the ride...

On the seeding saga - hope I'm not off topic here but I don't understand why my seeding is going backwards even though I am riding events fairly regularly. Am I entering the wrong events or what? And why cant we have one consolidated seeding list rather than ASG / SASeeding and Cycleevents all being individual? Anyway, at least I got a semi decent slot for Sunday and looking forward having a jol. The beer tent is a mandatory stop to reload carbs after the ride I hear!!

I'm pretty sure that SASeeding just have a hat that they pulls names out of to get seeding and results.

Check your seeding index on the seeding email and compare to index on SASeeding. Also bear in mind that the distance of the event will have a bearing on the seeding index.

1.) THe steel ramps through the storm water drain at Tana road are very slippery.

Forget the steel ramps, worry about the green stuff in the storm water drains. Yikey Pikey that was like ice last time, lots of people saw their gat.

For me it was the fact that about 1800 starters in front of me would have traipsed all that slippery gunk on to the ramps.

Storm water drains were an added hazard.

I am not sure if i would ever willingly ride down one of them ever given a chance.

And they are dark

Also WRT the weather - its not the rain on the day - its the rain beforehand. Drainage on the Spruit is, contrary to what you would think, really crap.

There's lots of mud out there...

Hi there,

I am looking for an entry to the Juma if anyone is giving one away. I don't exactly earn a lot, so the entry price is out of my reach, and as my late son and I used to regularly ride the Spruit, I would like to do this.
You can mail me at jd.koekemoer@yahoo.com

Thank you

Thank you for the entry, I really appreciate it.

Don't forget the nice e.coli bath you get riding in those drains

Have you converted to non-binary these days?
