Get yourself a proper saddlebag. Like a Revelate or an Apidura. Then you can carry all your k@k plus all your mate's k@k.

And you just tell them you're training for RASA. That'll shut the fashionistas up.

;)

This

Bottle cage behind saddle

Cylinder shape plastic tool box

Like Punchear, I dumped the saddlebag and got myself a Cylinder Shape toolbox that fits into my one bottle cage.  Bought a 1 ltr water bottle and if I need more drinks I take money with me and buy something along the road.

Not all bikes can carry bottles (mine has no place for a bottle cage).

So I guess one should start by asking the OP what bike do you ride?

I don't carry bulky stuff in my shirt pockets anymore.

With the J2C I had an OTB moment, and landed flat on my back. The small bottle of sunscreen I had in my left side pocket gave me a good punch in the kidney, injuring me so bad that I had to abandon the stage at 92km, and could only ride the next day with the assistance of an Voltaren injection and a Cataflam tablet or two.

Imagine if this was a multitool or something else with more substance.

Hydration pack with back protection is a good idea ;)

This borrowed from another social media site...I suspect it can carry your folding chair and tent for over-nighting, not sure where the gas bottle is kept though....

I love my man satchel, it's out of the way and just big enough for the essentials.

Not sure when mountain biking turned into a fashion parade.

To me the only thing that looks bad is when the guy on an alu 26er smokes the s-works on the way up :D
