xcd Posted June 28, 2016 Share DDD has given Africans an opotunity to ride in a WT team in the top races in the world. It is upto them to proof they are good enough to make the team for the TdF. The best form riders that suite the goals of the team must be chosen. You can't afford to have passengers in a race like the TdF. What amazes me is when the springboks are chosen people criticize the selectors for not choosing the best and rather going for quoters but with DDD some hubbers want SA riders to be chosen even though they have not shown anything the whole year. Jaco Venter rode the Giro and I don't think he is upto doing another Grand Tour so close. On that list there are 9 South Africans... When quotas are mentioned with the Sprinbok team people have a flipping fit. Now we want a quotas for Aafricans in DDD. Makes no sense to me.
