I agree. Great event. Had no issues with any markers and everything went off smooth as clockwork. And as a roadie I really liked the fact that it was not technical. The only time I climbed off my bike was the 2 or 3 times I stopped to fight with my front brake that was binding slightly (unfortunately not enough to blame it for my poor time). Now I just hope I haven't worn the legs out for tomorrow. ????

Enjoyed it, chatted to G24 at the start. Route was well marked and I cant recall the last time I saw that many marshals in a MTB race. Route was non technical flat and fast but this is the east rand after all and we take what we can get, been my regular ride area I think G24 and co selected most of the best trails around the area.

Unfortunately left my chip at home so no official timing for me. Beer and boerrie roll ended a good mornings ride

Maybe you don't want too, but you do.

Nonsense, it's a valid question and many people probably wondered the same as they are under the impression the contents of goodie bags are sponsored, but it seems that it does add to costs from what we have now heard from Gerald.

That's the toughest 12km's I have done getting my son to the end. His little legs were knackered at about 8km. Well proud of him as he has only just turned 4 and he was the smallest kid there by far.And my daughter who bailed and pretended she was ok and got on with it ????????????.

Good to meet you Gerald and thanks to you and your crew for the awesome family morning out. My kids are so proud that they earned there own medal. Brilliant value and completely rideable course for youngsters .

Very cool morning ????

Hey G,

I know you have a MTB specific cat in the shorter distance.

But is there something preventing me coming to ride on my MTB in one of the normal 100km open bunches?

nothing stops you from riding on your MTB, just watch them wider bars in the bunch.
