good to have. Only downside is that when you stop the time does not stop.

I'm happy with my S725. It's a good allround HR monitor and the ability to download sessions to your PC is very useful.

If you're looking at getting a new one, you should consider Ebay. I saved about R1000 on mine by ordering it from one of the large stores there.

You also don't need to spend money on the (expensive) Polar infrared interface.

Something like this:

IRDA Adapter

will work just as well and if you have a laptop with an infrared port, you shouldn't even need that.

Had quite a few Polars and won't go without one.  Great functionality.  Currently using a CS600, and worth every cent!

Big H you can set it up to actaully also stop when you do . But it does not work to great . It is much easier just to edit the file and remove periods where you stopped .

Looking at investing in a Polar s725x heart rate monitor.

Any1 got one...? Happy with it...? Think it's crap...?

Any comments...?

Not to sure about the 725x, Ive got a 720, CS400 and a RS800....Confused

For cycling only I prefer the CS types, however if you use a hrm for more than just cycling then the watch types are obviously the way to go as they can be used for most sports.

The Thug,

I also have the 625x which I use for my running. Just bought my first bike. What components do I need to use it on my bike?

Can one download training programs from somewhere?

I've had a 625x for abot 3 years.  It's a great unit - has almost all the cycling functionality of the 725, but comes with the running footpod which is awesome for cross training/triathlon.  Apparently they are about to come out with a GPS version.
