"Aggressive Grip Mud and Snow Contagrip with aggressive lug design ensures grip on soft, wet, muddy or loose surfaces."

If R299-R350 Mr. Price shoes (probably made in China) can win the Comrades, it really puts a question as to why you need R2000 shoes at all?

I've been asked to post the same info on Trailhub, and I just did that. The influence of this issue is beyond running and is very relevant to a lot of hubbers - apparently mall walking is also a sport. I've posted this under "buyers guide". Could have been "scammers alert". Could have been "off topic" too. If you think this doesn't belong, PM admin.

A hot blonde walks into a bar. 2 guys next to each other. 1 guy has a VW golf GTI key on the table and the other guy has a AUDI A3 2.0T key on the table.

Essentially the same car, but who is she going home with?

I did a few trailruns with Genuine Speedcross. Worst trailrun shoe ever. In fact I had XT wings, S-Lab and XT hawke. With all my feet hurt like hell afterwards.

Personally I think Salomon shoes in general are overpriced and in general below average on performance

Switched to new balance trail shoes (also my road shoes) and never looked back

If you have flat, wide feet that supinate (like me), New Balance are the BEST.

If i wear shoes for pronators or narrow feet, no matter what the cost or the brand, they will NEVER be comfortable.

Im om my second pair of speecross and wont buy them again. Slippery as **** on most wet surfaces.

This.

I can't even recall the amount of times I've slipped and slid like a drunkard when I stepped onto an even slightly moist surface with these shoes.

Funny, I was more interested in where the story went AFTER they leave the bar.

I'm guessing fake. SpeedCross's don't come with laces like that. As far as I know.

...then again, the LT badge seems to be right.

What did you pay?

It's only applicable to the left shoe...which we can't see.

How fake are these Salomon's bought in Egypt?

Although, if it weren't for the tongue/upper design and stupid laces, they would make a pretty convincing fake.

On a scale of 0 to Legit it's very fake. The Laces only come in the Vario model - which has the "mixed terrain" outsole.

Come to think of it, why does no-one every get the Vario model? It's way more suited for SA conditions. If you are after the status of the more expensive model, just get yourself some S-LAB's - it's like the S-Works of running shoes.
