Geez these guys did some serious speeds over that speedtrap, 70-75km/h on that downhill. That's serious fast.

Pity Loris Vergier Flatted, I would have like to have seen his time with a proper run.

He and Loic are pushing each other to new levels of brilliance, and they seem to have fun doing it.

Gee struggling to find form this season.

Ratboy gets worse every round.

Good to see Blenki back in the mix.

Danny really looking focused this year, its refreshing seeing someone who's hungry for it, go out and do the business.

I honestly believe Loris is the real future champ here. That boy has such an easy, graceful style of riding. Punctures in both qualies and finals didn't help. Huge pity.

Lekker to have such competition in the mens race, you never know who will win beforehand.

As for the ladies race, it's quite boring. Rachel deserves her wins, but the others really need to catch up. Or maybe Rachel should go do Enduro, at least then the ladies race will be more exciting.

i think the ladies at EWS just gave your last comment a serious bit of side-eye, especially after they just got rid of Tracey Moseley, who btw only won one world DH world champs (2010, MSA), and her last world cup win way back in 2006 (Rnd 3, Willingem). Point being, there's pedigree, then there's pedigree. T-Mo monstered EWS coming off a strong showing in World Cup DH, but Rachel Atherton has been monstering World Cup DH for very long now. It's therefore not a stretch of the imagination how badly she'll mangle the ladies on the EWS as well.

But what is it that makes her so fast? It's probably a combination of things, but it's just odd that on race day almost no one (bar Seagrave) can even get close.

On a sidenote, she should pay someone to do her interviews for her. Her constant narcissistic drivel is grinding my gears.

Ya I agree on the interviews  - Gwin is a far better post race interviewee but then he has less to crow about than her.

Manon is a big disappointment after her past WC overall - I wonder what's going on with her. Maybe a bit of lost nerve?

I think Rachel just emulates her brothers and literally rides like a man. She is technically so good she doesn't crash very often any more and is very confident. All the other women crash regularly and that dents confidence. We also don't know how much off the bike training Rachel does - she may be streets ahead of the others on strength and mobility.

Interesting to note that the top 80 men were all within 25secs of the winning time and Rachel would have been all but last.

Danny Hart was looking like an also ran until this year and it is apparently all thanks to a proper training program - and his girl friend of course :-)

its just totally put me off her..I used to not mind her..but that "basking in my brilliance comment" or however it went just turned me off her completely. I think she is genuinely narcissistic and that does come through in her social media and her comments. I get a sense that she is not liked much within the ladies circuit..there is a fine balance between being good and being a knob...or is it a bitch in this case

do you remember when ACC had a competition or something with cannondale in that she would have a random number on her helmet at each race and you had to guess what it was, turned out it was her 'result' in the men's category. Used to be around mid-pack iirc!
