HappyMartin Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Jeez that was intense. A bit like having a prostate exam.I didn't really learn anything useful, I struggled to keep my eyes open and I feel slightly used.

Edition 507 Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 It is at this stage that I think I need to share my vast knowledge and MTBing experience with regards to rear shocks. I have raced ultra-light hard-tails as well as full rigid single speeds and have ridden most incarnations of rear shocks out there in the market place, including horizontal shocks mounted to the top tube and the down tube as well as vertical shocks onto the BB. What I can categorically state without reservation is that no matter what design rear shock you have, nor how many pivots points it has, the inherent rear end comfort to be found in these configurations is absolutely incomparable with the discomfort experienced racing hard-tails, full rigid's or the time I accidentally stumbled into a gay bar wearing tight Lycra!
Thor Buttox Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 I actually own a Sesta Pro. It is nice. That's all I need to know.
PhilipV Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 Jeez that was intense. A bit like having a prostate exam.I didn't really learn anything useful, I struggled to keep my eyes open and I feel slightly used.Reminds me of a story I read somewhere:"My worst nightmare just happened, after my prostate exam, the Dr left and a nurse walked in. It was fine until she asked : "who was that guy?" *disclaimer: this story was shared in jest and is a joke. It is not a story of "a friend" and I can categorically state that I have not had the prostate check, and I am praying for a better alternative to be discovered before I am that old. Something like sonar. Okay, Hijack off. back to vertical shocks.
