Same with me Sun city 2016 penalty of 15 and see no penalty for 2015 Momentum 94.7 time. Unfair but guess its fine.

I think I had a penalty of 6 against 2015 94.7

WRT a reseed, I applied for a reseed two years ago, but it was based on a error on their side, and I was not charged the R150 fee.

10:24 to be exact for my first in 2014, and crossed the line 6H12 minutes later. Have come a long way since then.

Very interesting. There is a link where they explain which races they used to do your seeding. Very cool, I like the transparency.

However, the seeding upon which my seeding for this race is based, or "current seeding" in their words, is higher than my official PPA seeding figure (based on my best race of 2016). Interesting that they didn't use Jock Classique, even though I know it's a seeding race.

Anyway, I can't complain about the seeding I got. It's A for Af-tjop.

from FAQ on CC94.7 webpage.Do I have to qualify..... - No, you do not have to qualify to take part, but we do suggest that you participate in other races throughout the year. This will ensure that you are fit for Cycle Challenge Sunday and other events could better your start time for the Telkom 947 Cycle Challenge. The organizing committee will use events timed by Race Tec between 7 September 2015 and 30 September 2016 which are 90km's or more for seeding.

Jock stages 1, 2 & 3 are not included as they are less than 90kms and recorded as such on ppa and the racetec seeding.

They list both the individual stages as well as the overall results - would be so much easier if they just made it one non-stop race like it used to be.

Hoping this years sub 3 CTCT helps to start in Racing vets

I got a VA start without a racing license, normally start in A or B?  How does this work, do they see potential...?

Anyone know anything about this conundrum:

My girlfriend got a racing license about 2 months ago and did the Lost City race with the elite ladies and stuck with them to the finish. She also has a few older results from the alphabet soup (including a sub-3 947) that seem to be (understandably) disregarded by the PPA seeding and so her Lost City result is the only race contributing to her seeding index of 24.66.

She is 30 years old and so has been batched for this race with WA but she would like to race with the % bunch. I see in the results from last year there were ladies in different age classifications (even up to the 45-49 age group) that rode in the % group. I know in the men also there are often guys over 30 (the pros like Nolan Hoffman come to mind) that race with the elites. How do we go about applying to have her moved into that batch. To my mind, its not really a reseeding but rather an age reclassification?
