My predictions for today:

Kiriyenka or Van Emden will take the stage, TD will be second or 3rd.

Dumoulin will take pink (but only just)

Quintana will be 3rd on GC

2nd place will go to TB or VN obviously but I'm not yet sure which one of the two will lose out today.

Jungles will take back white.

Did anyone do the math for the first TT during the Giro this year.?

Aa I scrolled down a bit more on that tweet conversation

But in the first giro TT Dumoulin gained 4.3 secs per km on Quintana this TT favour TD more. Barring a crash or mechanical TD has this.

Being a flat-to-downhill TT, I would agree, but... it all depends how much he's used up, until now, to stay in touching distance of the 3 above him.

I'm still going with NQ in 4th... I think ZakAttack is too far back to gain time on NQ.

Top 3 will be TD, VN and TP (order my change depending on each one having a perfect TT - perfect doesn't mean winning, but rather having no mechanicals and possibly a PB if it was a route they had all done multiple times).

Im sure TD knows this route, they must have scouted it a few times before the race as they knew this is where he will win or loose.

Here's a list of the teams at this Giro as a % of their team's best 9 riders. Will be interesting to see the % at both the Tour and Vuelta. But the PCS rankings are a little skewed to riders that have done more races for the year compared to the top dawgs that might start later.

Nibali is an example, he is ranked lower than NQ is the TT, but NQ has done a few mini-Tours where TT's were included.
