not sure if it's on TV; does not look like there will be video coverage on the Ironman event webpage, but there is a live commentary feed

also, the Athlete Tracker is here

hope this helps.

The Ironman Tracker smartphone app is pretty good too.

Good luck guys, have a blast. Race reports expected hey.

FOMO....love the Durban events, warm weather, nice cycle route, bunny chow at Brittania, cold cheap beer , and bunny chow.

Think I have done more events in Durban than anywhere else, Trirock, Ironman and Ultra. All been great even if swim canned,

What do you guys carry to fix a tubby flat?

My front wheel will be normal inner tube, but I am going with a tubular disc on the back and not sure what I should be carrying for the disc..

I put Stans tyre sealant in my tubby and then just carry a bomb, and then hope for the best.

Thanks, this is what I was thinking, but was worried that I "should" be carrying more. I will take a small bottle of stans with me just in case I need top it up.

Just remember, the tubby won't last forever if you do this. The sealant solidifies if you do use a bomb in the tyre.

Registration done, big crowd at race briefing. Lots of first timers, looks like the weather is improving and the wind dropping for race day!!

All those racing, enjoy your day and have fun!!  See you on the beach early Sunday :)

@shaper anything new in race brief since last year apart from the bike route? Not sure if I'll be able to make race brief as we are not close to Durbs and need to get back to sleep

Nothing new, slight new entrance into T2 from previous years when coming back on the bike leg, Swim and run the same as last year, bike route changed as per the guide.

Shot, saw the construction at the entrance to T2 and guessed they would need to adjust that slightly. Not like I'll be the first guy off the bike, I'll be following about 1000 other guys - 12m behind them!!!!!
