Poels and Stannard are currently in poor form. Pete, I am not sure, he was even at dinner with the Froome's the other night.

Think Poels wants a go at the Vuelta.

Stannard a beast on those flat hard windy (we hope) stages.

Poels is recovering from injury and Stannard said in an interview his legs are missing this season. Normal for a clean team...  :whistling:

Oh look, Valverde is riding his 140th race day at Le Tour....

Anyone know where you can find/see detailed route maps?

Trying to plan to watch the end of Stage 9 in Chambery after the Mega finish, but can't find any high res detail about the route into town.

Anyone even know what street it finishes on?

Thanks

Not sure if this is the 1st time going to the Tour, but trust me you will have NO problem finding what street it ends on. Drive into town in the morning, follow everything TDF inspired and then sit and wait for 4 hours before they close the streets.

Poels wanted in at the Tour on the squad and was expecting to be also. Chris has always wanted to do the Tour / Vuelta double so unless he doesn't want this years I see it going to Thomas as next in line for GC leader.

Sky have gone with a very old school team which by all accounts is very strong.

Likewise, who ever they going with will be a monster team. there so many guys that can fill those places.

I am going with this as the team selected:

Contador

Mollema

Feline

Degenkolb

Pantano

Cardosa

Zubeldia

Google

Brandle

Arme Kiryienka...that workload just doubled without Stannard there ..Kwait really will have no opportunity at a stage win.. no Viviani again..hope he can find a decent team for next year, he is just wasted at SKY .

I agree totally on Viviani, I have no idea why he is there than a hefty pay check? Any decently funded team can take him and get huge reward from him being in the squad.

Probably decided a long time ago that GT would have dibs on Giro and Poels Vuelta..but as mentioned by the Savage Poels coming back from injury hasn't raced in a while.

Bit surprised about Stannard too.
