Cav has 1338 UCI points, thats the most for DiData only Nathan Haas and Eddy B are on the top 100 list for DD, so need to take him to the tour and give him plenty of spots as support.

Looks like Direct Energie "Coq blocked" Bryan Coquard from the TDF... What a coq up!

Was a douche move by them, yes he made it public he's leaving the team end of 2017 (Don't know where yet) but he was their best shot at a stage.

It does not mean an African team must field mostly African riders, the TDF and international cycling is exactly that nowadays.......INTERNATIONAL

We need to be competitive and there is a lot at stake, this is not a government department

ja but...they have been touting themselves as Qhubeka/africas team since day 1. So it's disappointing not to see any algerians/eritreans or even black south africans in the line up. More reality than anything else,

So you are suggesting quota's in cycling now on private teams? 

 

The African riders are either fatigued from the Giro or not good enough to go to the tour, otherwise they would have been selected. I think thats the best team that DD can put together if they want to stay at WT level.

Good enough to help him win the White Jersey? I have my doubts. I reckon he will have to do that on his own. The lekker thing is he is more than capable of pulling it off. Will be rooting for him to put a similar showing at Le Grand Boucle as he did last year.
