You seem to forget how powerful the taxi lobby is. ..............

Years ago, I had a lawyer friend who represented one of the big taxi associations. POWERFUL is the word. He lived a stressed and precarious existence with regular death threats from their opposition, and sometimes their allies. He once even had someone take a potshot at his car, leaving him with a bullet hole his insurance refused to fix.

I am sorry but they can't even take the time to proof read an article and use the correct name in the first place, then when it is pointed out, they can't even take the 2 mins to correct the article, so what are the chances of them getting the rest right?

This thread kind of proves some points in the other thread....

Only seeing this thread today. Kind of ironic, the PPA Mangaung Classic (Old OFM classic) that was held in Bloem at the end of last year, the same thing happened as what happened at SA Champs. Taxi ignored a marshal and drove into a bunch of cyclists. Some serious injuries. Never heard anything since the incident and no press release.

It's for posts like this that we need a Don't Like This button... :cursing:

Perhaps the CSA / PPA should go have a round or three with the "parliamentary white-shirt brigade", seeing as they are starting to act like a certain political party in charge, saying a whole lot, but doing nothing of substance...
