I am visiting a old mate in George from 2 - 8 Jan. I was thinking of driving down with the MTB but Kulula got the better of me.

Any George based Hub folk who would be willing to spare a bike and trail secrets? My mate is still working during the day so I have time to kill. \Will bring a good vibe and beer..

I would love to check out the local trails and see more of our beautiful land

Bikes to rent or to loan.

Check out the Garden Route Trail Park - from what I've seen online it looks good and they've got bikes to rent.

I'm headed there on Thursday or Friday.

Prepare yourself for the most fun you've ever had on a mountain bike. Seriously.

And be sure to do the new route (not sure of it's name) that starts after the service road climb up the SANSPark station. Almost as good (if not better than!) as Sani Day 2.

Ignore the trail park and go ride Witfontein in George itself...a tonne of super rad trails all free :)

OK...don't ignore the trail park...but also do NOT ignore Witfontein. Easy to find on Google maps and once you're there the trails are pretty well marked n easy to find :)

@Tunariaan

Do you know if the gravel roads up to Karatara and Swartvlei are fine for a road bike to cruise on? I am planning to bring my road and mtb to Wildernis
