But seriouslu, people should understand that being first on a training ride means NOTHING

Being first in a race... THAT's what counts

And according to hub wisdom unless you are a pro at a highly recognized 'classic' event even that doesn't count, and no sarcasm font is not required!

Sorry, on the tablet the emojis don't work for some unknown reason. One is then forced to take desperate measures...

I do 95% of my training with mates, group leaves with or without you being there, if get dropped then you will be picked up when we come back the other way, or find your way home.

If I did not ride with mates I would never go up the Glen.

Also its fun watching your mates pop and fall off the back :D

Um, then how do you decide who pays for the coffee's?

on my own; always a cat in the bunch that's more concerned with Strava segments than just being out there.

Can't you talk to the cat though? We have days where we "strava hunt" basically you can be a full douche for that ride. If you do suggest a "strava hunt" day, you better get a KOM otherwise you will just look like a plonker :P

Normally train/Coummte on my own.  Have a buddy or two that we meet up on weekends.

I have work colleague that started riding with me once a week in the second half of the summer.  This turned out as a good recovery ride for me.  But I do hook up with guys normally on my commute every now and then and it turns out to be like a lotto ticket.  Some days it would be a nice ride chatting and then other days we end up pacing and getting a good tempo home.

Then there are the days where you hookup with someone on a e-bike ....  #AfkakSessie ... but the facial expression when you manage to keep up on the flats is priceless.

If you the only girl on the ride it works out well if you can keep up.  Plus no half decent guy is going to shout at you if you wheelsuck the whole way.  I suffered one of Chainsaw and Ironinthesoul's rides the other day, got home loaded my ride...two QOMs...YAY!   Then I see they not real QOMs because I equalled the two existing QOMs so they won't appear on your list......  so I get nothing for my suffering

:D

I need new domestiques :P
