Thor Buttox Posted January 9, 2017 Share WADA has drawn a second line: the TUE line. Substances that you're allowed to take, but must ask permission for. You agree to this line too. That line says that there are valid reasons to take certain medications. When your well being requires the drug, and you can justify that, you're allowed to take the drug. One such reason is diabetes. If you can prove you have diabetes, you are allowed to take insulin. If you don't have diabetes, you're not allowed to take insulin. I don't feel right telling a diabetic: if you want to ride your bike, you must stop with your insulin injections. I think a diabetic should be allowed to live his life, and it's great that medical science now allows for that. (there are actually two TUE lines: acute and chronic)Wiggo got a cute TUE for 'chronic' condition?

tux26 Posted January 16, 2019 Share Was this suspension overturned? Because in the article it says Tyronne White was suspended between 14 December 2016 and 13 June 2018, yet he came 4th at the 2017 Mandela Day MTB Dash (26th August 2017):https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/news/mtb/sa-mtb/jessop-and-haw-grab-the-mandela-day-mtb-dash-trophies-r6830 And he won the 2018 Howick MTB Classic (4 March 2018):https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/news/mtb/sa-mtb/white-takes-full-advantage-at-sappi-howick-mtb-r7149 These are only the two events I know of, there are probably others that he did. I'm sure both these events are CSA affiliated, so it's not like Kevin Evans doing K2C; although Kevin did get an extra month added to his suspension once it was discovered.
