watching Contadors post stage 21 interview, he said thank you to his sponsors for allowing him to attack like that. that is an important point i think. A rider might want to attack, but does the sponsor or his ds back him. Do they just want their riders to play it safe? If his attack does not work out does he get a uit K#k session or do they say better luck next time.  Louis for instance played it safe (In my opinion) to get the best overall position he could in the two GT. im not saying he would have attacked on a few stages, but we will never know.

 

3 exciting GT's this year, but the Vuelta probably takes it for me (the giro with a close second due to the dump on my lawn incident). Nice to see Uran back on the Podium and a good year for Zakarin with his first podium finish and a 5th in the giro.
