Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 Will be there again Only issue is they usually ask for proof of CSA membership and Domestic racing licence at registration.Last year it was possible to print both cards from the CSA website (PDF format) Under my profile on the "new" CSA site, both showing active and paid up, BUT no function to print it?
Cadre Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 For an average rider like myself this one yields good results that helps with seeding throughout most of the season.I shall try to avoid the middle of the peleton and so should those who want to avoid the carnage of last year (B? or C? can't remember). Lefthander at high speed, concertina braking, and the inevitable "Doef" from behind. I have a wheelgrind scar on the left calf to show for my effort last year. Keep it safe people, and good luck with the race. I've said it before : There are only two speeds in this race. Those who are racing and those who are going much faster than that.
Eon du Plessis Posted January 20, 2017 Posted January 20, 2017 This will be my wife's first 100km. She's not comfortable in bunches yet and we're starting from right at the back. I'll do all the work and she can just ride slip, along with whoever decides to fall in. Quite looking forward to it.

VA wasn't too bad last year. I am sure you would have coped. Good luck in AL, from what I hear the racing is pretty hot there as well.

Getting to the Parking last year was a major mess. Reset the alarm by 45 min at least, given the 50% increase in traffic for this year.

I think last year they struggled to get 2000.For a lot of people who don't race every race, They had a few more events to choose from at this time of the year and there was always one a few weeks later that some hubber dude has a lot to do with that is the first choice of many...................But genuine, a few years back we had a full calendar at this time of year. Just off the top of my head we have lost your event, Serengeti and emperors. Then of course you have the small fact that ASG races are so expensive. For me I am only racing twice before CTCT this year where I used to do 5 or 6 races easily between January and March.

Emperors always used to be just before argus. Also been a few years since it moved. But with berge n dale being R390 to enter I reckon emperors will be similar. Literally 15 min to ride to the start of that one for me so will see how things go closer to the time.
