berg_fiets Posted October 24, 2017 Share Had some spare time this afternoon, so gave the frame some touch-up paint for all the chip marks. Will then just blend polish it in once nice and dry. Not a bad color match I think? Then what would a 90's era bike be without bullhorns! LOL The old anodized blue does not look cool or match the bike, so decided to go for the stripped aluminium look. Going to look awesome after some fine grit and steel wool bushing! Nick, Rocket-Boy, popcorn_skollie and 2 others

berg_fiets Posted November 5, 2017 Share Had a nasty cold this week, rendering my riding plans out for the weekend. Instead I worked on the older lady again... Polished the cranks Finished off the bull horns with some fine grit and then polished it off some steel wool Started working on the brakes. First striped then polished the calipers Hairy and Kalahari Vegmot
DJuice Posted November 5, 2017 Share Can`t wait for the finished bike!!! Doing a very good job, well done and keep up the good work. After the project is complete, will you ride her? berg_fiets
lechatnoir Posted November 5, 2017 Share Gave them some tubes and rubber this past weekend Haibo!!! With the build you're doing (which is looking might purty), you're going to HAVE to do the 'pro' thing and line the tyre name up with the valve. It'll not ride right if you don't. Trust me. berg_fiets

Yeah, definitely. Going to be my CX'ish play bike. Will save me a fortune in tyres... My mate recently finished restoring a vintage as well, so we are going to have some fun! He opted for the complete brushed/polished look... Think its a 1998 Trek 8000 (Yeah, i'm a little jealous... ) Haibo!!! My sincere apologies. How rookie of me. I was more fixated on making sure I don't pinch the tube and have the tire direction correct. It shall be rectified this evening!
