Flat pedal advice

Got the giants on 2 bikes. They grip well. Very well. Maybe a little too well.

Not much float if you want to re position your feet. They also chow my shoes.

But then again I only ever used them with chucks and various skate takkies.

I'm sure a more durable 5ten sole will hold up.

I've got DMR V12s and run 5.10s as well and they are awesome but I got them for a steal. For the price and the ones you've chosen I'd go for Saints without a doubt. Can't go wrong.

5 Ten shoes worth the bucks, you won't be sorry. I bought the cheapest pair with Dartmoor pedals (arguably not the best brand) and have to lift up my foot to adjust pedal position.

I had the Giant pedals initially and they were more than good enough for most of the riding I did. Changing to Five Ten shoes made a huge difference though.

I'm now on the Nukeproof Electron Evos and for me they're noticeably better. More grip and I prefer the bigger platform and shape. They're also holding up well so far for the price. Haven't ridden the Saints but a friend rides them and loves them.

Thanks for the replies.^

Seem to be leaning towards the neutrons though as they come in at R300 less than the saints(incl shipping) with minimal differences judging by the reviews.

i use the nukeproof neutron evo.

Grippy , light and cheap.

Been using a set for two years now and still going strong.

Love my Nukeproof Neutrons. Nice and slim with great grip, best I've used so far., just not so east to get your hands on. Giants were great for their R350 price tag, but they not so cheap any more sadly!

An alternative to 5.10 is shoes with Vibram soles, slick like crazy and don't get chowed by the studs.
