Do anyone know what the average times was per group on the CTCT...want to work out if I will be able to stay with my pack or should I start later by choice...

Don't want to chase my pack and then fall out on km 50 for example...

Starting in 2B for my first CTCT.. Don't know if that is good or bad...

Snaps

Not my first Argus but had a look at the times from last year.

Times range from 3:02 to 3:16 but I wouldnt read too much into that cause the wind can cause havoc.

Im just gonna try stick with the bunch

Just stay in your batch time, go with the group as best you can and enjoy your day, if you do get dropped it won't be a solo ride, other groups behind usually have groups you can latch onto

I started in 2C last year and after my leggs came off at chappies, did a 3h15!

Btw we caught 2B last year just before Smitswinkel.

Hope it helps

Stick to your start group.

Should you get dropped, the next group will pick you up.

The groups are often mixed by the time you get to Muizenburg anyway.

Doing a spot check, if you finish middle of the bunch, based on last year's perfect conditions, you should be able to do a 3:25-ish Argus with a 32+km/h average. If you are a good bunch rider, then you can bargain an average speed of at least +5km/h faster than what you can do on your own.

My 2c.
