Call me a bit skeptical, but I'm wary of such claims...

maybe he was desperate to make the sale?

i talked to some other mechanics they said they're just as good as DH tubes

You really should run your wheels tubeless. If for what ever reason you can't.

Buy normal DH tubes, remove the valve core and fill them with tubeless sealent.

Its a much better solution than dry or even slime filled tubes.

There is no such thing as a tube that that is thorn proof or resistant to snake bites.

But at least with sealent filled tubes you a better chance at staying inflated for longer.

i have tubeless minions on my bike,I don't like tubeless because i always burp them

Tried on my friends bike and they went paap in the first corner,i will stick some sealant in anyway then

Burping isn't necessarily inherent in running tubeless wheels.

Its not a symptom or the eventuality of not running tubes.

There are many variables to consider which may or may not result in burping.

The combination of tyre and rim, pressures, casing, bead, etc.

But once you find what works for you.

You'll forget all about tubes...

I used those thicker DH tubes at one stage. Ordered from CRC. They are heavy and noticeable.

Snake bite punctures and burping is a result of too low pressure among other things

a puncture proof lining that costs to much

No, they really don't, unless you're talking about ProCore or Huck Norris or the new one that Aaron Gwin runs.

They run tubeless, sometimes with Huck Norris (not a lining) or the Schwalbe Procore (not a lining) or just plain old tubeless.

Fact of the matter is this - if tubeless can handle Greg, Aaron, JC, and all the other DH & Enduro pros, it can handle you.

What rims / tyres / pressure are you running? Wire bead Minions?

yes, that was my point as well, but you put it so eloquently.

Now don't laugh.....

I have been running tubes in both my trail and DH bike for years. In addition to that I run those Ryder tyre liners (Not even sure you can get them anymore... I can't remember when last I had a puncture from a thorn.
