Worst service from Eagle Canyon Cycles

Recommended Posts

I always had good service at Eagle Canyon and Chaunce (the son) stayed late more than once to get my bike finished for me on time.

Sorry to hear again that people are not getting good service.

I have never had anything but great service and always been treated respectfully by both Chaunce and Conrad . Always helped me out in a fix , loaned me some pedals , sold me a super bike at a great price. I can't fault them.

Have to say that i get good service from Conrad as well as Chaunce too( In spite of not being the most regular customer), I even go as far as sending customers their way ( who thank me afterwards).

Obviously I cannot speak for the issue in question so I hope you find joy in the end.

Same here, both Conrad and Chaunce have helped me out more than once. Chaunce has actually sorted out other bike shops faults for me

I have never had a problem with Eagle Canyon cycles ... they have gone out of their way to help me and if it's not fixed first time they will not charge for correcting the fault...

never had a problem with Conrad,  Chaunce or Shelly and find them honest, knowledgeable and friendly

Just spoke to Eagle Canyon Cycles and they have a totally different story and Conrad went out of his way to help...

I think it's disgusting that someone who didn't get their own way can slander a decent business online.

How can this post trashing a decent Bike shop be second on google search ?

This is causing serious damage to a good shop and should be deleted

And that's why I believe that when you experience bad service, just suck it up and take your business elsewhere. Happened to me a view times. No point in complaining as you are the unfortunate one.

PS. don't let this experience ruin your cycling days, enjoy!

WARNING TO ALL.

Last year December I went and purchased a wonderful 2nd hand bike from Eagle Canyon Cycles in Johannesburg. A few minor things needed to be fixed which the shop were happy to do and leaving for the last time they assured me that I should come back if there are any other problems with the bike. I flew myself and the bike down to Cape Town and after 3 weeks of riding a spoke had broken. Taking the bike to a local shop in CT, they had removed the wheels and shown me that both rims were cracked right down the middle.(There is no way I could have broken those rims like that, I'm at the most beginning level of riding and couldn't go faster than a granny walking down a hill). With myself being in cape town, my grandfather up in Johannesburg had gone to Eagle Canyon Cycles and informed them regarding what we have found to be wrong on the bike. An older gentlemen who I believe to be the father of the son who owns the shop, had said that we would have to send the rims up to them and they would sort it out for us. After sending the rims up, my grandfather had taken them to the shop and shown them. The young shop owner (which I think is Chans or something like that) had disrespectfully dismissed my grandfather that they would not repair/replace the rims. After my grandfather trying to reason and have a mature discussion as adults, the shop owner had been blatantly rude and walked away, leaving my grandfather standing alone in the shop with no help or mutual forward steps.

Then Going to cycle lab after almost 2 months and R2000 later I have had to do an entire redo so that the rims are ready to ride.

I inform anyone reading this, if you are buying anything from Eagle Canyon Cycles, (especially a bike) check that bike first and make sure you know it better than your naked body.

They don't seem to have any values of customer service or at least the respect to talk to someone with dignity.

Sad but true.
