Sounds like a scam.

Watch out, guys.

Not a scam I assure you and I specifically deleted details incase somebody did think it was a scam.

Not sure if it is supported or unsupported.  Over 200kms/day with 80% gravel for five days is doable but highly unlikely in my book.

I will follow this but best of luck to the rider,  I am envious of his estimations.

Yip, it is possible.

Is the raffle off if the rider does not make it?

No idea about this.

Just thought the trip a little daunting.

No mention of what the funds are to be used for? This looks suspicious to me

The person is trying to raise eR100k for a well known EC school, not a scam

Looks like EvanB is on top of it.  And is correct.

I specifically deleted ALL info in this regard in case there were some of those who are trying to get their post count up and  throw accusations at whatever it is they think they have in mind.

I certainly am not trying to look for donations because I don't care if he makes money or not.  My question was as to if it can be done..........it is Friday after all.

@Deanbean - for the school up the road from you.  Sorry no link.

it does seem a bit of an odd way to go about it from a fundraising way. In this day and age, I would have setup a givengain/backabuddy account, and then apportion raffle tickets according to the donations made.

obviously it's possible. but doing it 80% on dirt roads in 1076 looks a bit suspect to. this is where the real challenge comes!

Possible? Of course.

When?

He might need the standard DWK pep talk. That and some coffee.

Do you know who it is?
