Don't get a reverb! They are overpriced and not reliable. Get a KS Lev or the Fox.

My mate bought a ks lev brand new . 2 weeks later had endless issues with it. Waited for ages (can't remember exact timeframe )for it to be sorted out. 6 weeks I think . He bought a reverb when he got tired of waiting and 6 months down the line not one problem.

Maybe unlucky but I wouldn't touch a ks lev. And the parts are expensive .

My week old reverb is giving me issues. I previously had a Giant post and it never gave me issues. Actually prefer the Giant lever also

I loved my giant for the first 16 months then my first failed, Then the (utterly) useless Giant customer service kicked in and blaitently tried to not replace under warrenty so many times. Finally got it replaced, lasted another 4 months and failed. Another round of being made out to be trying to rip Giant off by claiming warranty and that lasted 2 months. Now on to another version and I'm secretly hoping that this one just gives up so I can go get something else.

I had a Fox Doss - was perfect, not a single issue, then a Giant V2 - also not a single issue.

Now I'm on a Lyne on one bike and a Rapide on the other, and so far so good. Great value, smooth and good looking.

You can add the Specialized dropper posts to the AVOID list.

I had the old 3-point dropper on previous bike and it gave me endless hassles.

New bike has the 10-point spez dropper standard and it has been "serviced" by Spez Elite Store 6 times and "warrantied" once by spez hq.  This post has never functioned properly for more than ONE ride.

have it serviced once more, and sell it for the price of a Lyne, then get the Lyne, and boom, sorted!

I can't work out from the website whether the Lyne is manufactured in South Africa or not? Would love to know if it is available in the UK

My reverb is working 150%. I clean the post after each ride and spray it with Brunox to keep it healthy on the outside. The 9.8 was also on my list, but could not get stock so I opted for the reverb.

Sounds like my story: Got a Lev, issues within 2 weeks, waited for a month for the agents to fix. Didn't happen and demanded a refund. Replaced with a Reverb, which worked fine for 20 months when it needed a rebuild. Worked fine when it was hot, but didn't in cold mornings. R1150 later and working well since (5 months now). Will see what the winter brings...

So much hate for the Reverb ..

They still are IMO the pinnacle of dropper posts.

Running a Lev on my hard tail, and also cant complain.

I would like to try a Lynne. Looks promising and the price is right.

It comes from OS and is quite like a lot of other brands that are starting to pop up your way. With the exchange rate it would seems a good idea to get them to send one over or get a mate  / hubber who is coming over to bring you an nice present!

Reliability is everything. And so the cost and intervals to service.

You WANT mechanical, and nothing else.

If you are on tight budget - consider Lyne. Thumbs up all the way for it.

If you have some moolla - 9.8. You will never look back.

Got a Reverb, had no issues and the yearly service costs around R1000 give or take.

Had the Spez Command Post on my last bike (the 3 position one). It was a lot cheaper, the servicing also cost around R1000 a year, and I had to replace the inner post once ( also about R1000) during the 3 years of ownership. The Spez post seemed to wear a lot faster than the Reverb, and it was mentioned once or twice that this may have been related to my weight.. The Spez post also has a nasty habit of creaming your nuts the first time you use it, I can still remember the exact spot this happened to me in Cecilia Forest. After that I learnt to use my legs to help ease it back up.

Both are good posts as far as I'm concerned, with the Reverb ahead of the Spez with regards to smoothness of operation.

The companyis based in Cpt, but manufacturing done in the east.

Quality control before, during and after manufacture is spot-on and the service is top notch.

But no, sure they can mail it to the UK, but as far as I'm aware they are not available there atm.
