What is the differentiater between a CX bike and a MTB? If you were to put a straight handlebar on a CX bike, will they allow you on the argument that you are riding a MTB without shocks?

Yes

Saw it at Cullinan2Tonteldoos. Guys removed drop bars and replaced with straight bars and everyone was happy. (Except the ones that left their CX/Gravel bikes at home)

Only thing is probably the drop handlebars...?

Can't think of anything else major?

I wonder what the next bike category will be invented for us to buy. . .

Click bait would have been saying "knysna road race hates mtb" technically discrimination is treating someone differently based on a defined criteria (be it race, gender etc) in this case riding a mtb and getting treated differently.... so, no; sticking to the title.

Click bait titles are no different than controversial Huffington Post blogs... just saying.

Seeing that it a separate "race", with fewer numbers, maybe that the future that they arrived at for it to make commercial sense. Would you rather the roadies pay more to cover that extra cost, even though they weren't the ones asking for it, doesn't sound fair to me.

before everyone gets their knickers in a know about the title, its poking fun; BUT, I do however wonder why the heck should you pay R30 more if you decide to ride a road race on a mtb rather than a road bike....

They also create noise pollution........

Yeah cause they insist on greeting everybody verbally as opposed to the roadie way: A barely noticeable nod of the head

Are we doing the Friday thing early cause of the long weekend?

Well I won't be participating. No point in arguing with a child who cannot take responsibility for their actions and try to apportion the blame to others. And technically it's not Friday ;)

You get a nod? Take a closer look at sock length, no true roadie will acknowledge another cyclist, if the socks of said nodder seem Falkey or a bit short, you are probably dealing with an under cover MTBer.

Theyve made a seperate group for the mtb guys cause they cant handle the roadies bitch and moan when a guy on a mtb is able to keep up with the 7kg skinny wheel road bike.
