Someone then mentioned an answer given by Martin Whiteley to that question where he stated that it was "death by a 1000 paper cuts". That there is nothing specific that Gwin does on track that stands out head and shoulders above everyone else, but that he is just that bit faster than anyone else almost everywhere.
