I don't know how companies like bikehut stay in business.

First Order. "Fooled me once - Shame on you"

Ordered some odds and ends, reason i ordered from them is because they were the only on-line shop that was advertising North Face hydration pack bite values.

Please click no confirmation email, so i send a email the next day requesting confirmation of the order. No reply for three days! Tried phoning, after a few attempts they answered and promised that my order would be dispatched tomorrow. A week went past this time and nothing, so i phoned again. This time the story was no stock, and they didn't know when they would get. I canceled the order.

Second Order "Fooled me twice - Shame on me"

My brother sent me a link to their specials page, the catch was that he was buttering me up in the hope that i would order something. My brother doesn't have a credit card and this was his way of asking me me to order some stuff for him. So a placed the second order.

Same routine is unfolding, they really have no clue.

The last empty promise was made on the 29th April. I was promised that the order would be sent on the 30th April. My last email of the 20th May has still not been replied to.

My advise, rather use your LBS before trying this local bunch of tools.

but' date=' aside from that, gazza, isn't calling people a "bunch of tools"a bit rough?[/quote']

That is where the confusion comes in. Tools are useful. Good tools are even better and quite expensive. If you said "broken tools" or "cheap imatation chinese tools" it would be a different story. No one wants to use those.

Sad to hear, that shop had quite a good rep not so long ago and carried some great "fringe" brands. I am glad for the warning I was tempted to buy some stuff from them, no more.

Hi everyone

I am the new owner of The BikeHut. I am extremely sad to see something like this on TheHub and I do apologise to everyone.

I have recently taken over The Bikehut from Steven Hood and we have slowly been learning the in's ond out's of the webshop.

We have discovered that there are items that we dont have in stock which is on the website and if someone places an order for that item, we then have to order from our suppliers.  We also found out that sometimes the suppliers dont always have stock of what someone is looking for, which then puts pressure on us.

So as I've said, as new owners of The BikeHut we are learning more and more as we go along. I do apologise to everyone and guarantee that we will be working hard to improve our  service and knowledge.

I hope we can carry on with the good reputation the shop had and provide our customers with top service.

PS. Gazza please give us a call and I will make sure your order gets to you ASAP with a 50% discount.

Kind Regards to all and Happy Riding

I actually like bikehut. Give them a chance to stroke out the problems, and Gazza, please inform us if you are satisfied at the end of the day.
