The only 3 I can find that are available locally are: 1. Momsen ST-R29 - https://momsenbikes.com/the-return-of-the-st-r-29-hardtail-steel-is-real/2. Cotic - http://www.cotic.co.za3. Contraband Rogue - http://www.contrabandbikes.com I want a frame suited to 27.5in wheels so the Momsen is out, The contraband is suited to both wheel sizes but I dont like the eccentric BB so that leaves something from Cotic. Surely there must be more options. My first choice would be a On One 45650B but as far as I can tell you need to order it from the UK and the shipping cost is almost as much as a frame and that is before VAT is added.

Simon Kolin Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 It really is a pity that Momsen Bikes don't offer a 650b model of their ST-F/ST-R frames. They would make for a fantastic build. The 2017 Cotic Soul is really cool. Maybe consider a Surly Karate Monkey 27.5+. You can probably order from a specialty store that has an account at QBP (Sprocket & Jack)? Mercer would also be a nice option, but only if you're be prepared to take advantage of the custom build/ fitting and cost Ritchey 650b is gorgeous, but is in need of a serious update.

I think the type of riding I do lends itself to 27.5 more. Short rides, max 35km, that consist of mainly technical singletrack, not that I am very skilled at it, but that's another story. Also I am a retro grouch who loves my current 26er but its starting to show its age and tire selection is getting very limited.

I love the look of a Pipedream, so that would be my first choice then. Possibly get in touch with Epic Sports in Centurion, they had a Cotic in stock not too long ago. Can't remember which one tho, just noticed it on display.
