Been hit by a car crossing A red light and been mugged in groenkloof with A machete  against my throat , bitching on A public thread will do NOTHING to resolve the issue

I have seen many people change their attitude after being shamed  on socail media.

It would be interesting to know where tactics of shock or threat or anything similar has a positive outcome.

This red car was texting and look how close it came to me...then the 2nd shot he / she goes faster just to turn right in front of me.....

I wish that those drivers who always shout "but cyclist bla bla" will start doing something about there fellow drivers.

As cyclist we try and keep our side clean, but the drivers dont seem to do anything about their side.

I think it is time to start shaming the crappy drivers also.....

This red car was texting and look how close it came to me...then the 2nd shot he / she goes faster just to turn right in front of me.....

I wish that those drivers who always shout "but cyclist bla bla" will start doing something about there fellow drivers.

As cyclist we try and keep our side clean, but the drivers dont seem to do anything about their side.

I guess this comes down to where you sit.

When I ride my bike, I hate it when vehicles don't obey traffic laws.

When I drive my car, I hate it when cyclists don't obey the traffic laws.

 

To be honest, I don't always obey all the traffic laws irrespective of where I sit.

 

Maybe we shou acknowledge that first?

 

So herewith my appology: both as a cyclist and a motorist. I will try and be more thoughtful either way.

I try to obey the law all the time, weather in car or on bicycle. 

 

It just gets my back up when you hear motorists go "but cyclists dont stop at red lights" When they are texting and driving. Last time I checked texting and driving has killed OTHER road users, cyclist doing stupid things has only hurt themself

 

EDIT: but these pictures are not really about the law for me, more about the inconsideration they have towards ALL other road users

I looked through my camera footage of my last two commutes to work and home.

I really don't think that the cyclist are the problem.

 

Drivers do not give a damn about road rules but are very quick to shout "cyclist don't adhere to road rules"

This does not even show the amount of texting while driving people
