I think yates hurt himself in the TT - he put in a big effort and then yesterday after the effort he put in old Froomey decided to attack and i think yates was like DAFUQ out of here.

You can see the mental effect this whole Salu case on froome has been but he is starting to show his class and why he is regarded as one of the best, wow its going to be a cracker today.

Its going to be brutal if yates does not win this GC as he has really been phenomenal but as much as it is a physical race its a mental one and the experience of the current GC winners is starting to show. This GC has been great for the sport - thrilling.

Can someone just take over my daughter-in-law/sister-in-law duties today..I would really like to watch this very important stage.

Can someone also direct me to a psychologist or a good bottle store..I may need to buy in bulk..[emoji23][emoji23]

From Tweetiebird

The @giroditalia head to the highest point in the race today, the legendary 2,178m Colle delle Finestre! 19 km in length, 45 hairpins and the final 9 km on gravel! Need we say any more? Check out what they face here >> bit.ly/Finestre_TCC #giro101 #cycling

I have feeling he just needs to be there when Froome goes and it is game over for Yates..if 2 riders like that combine it will be hard to manage.

But I also think it will be hard for Sky..everybody expects them now to be the main aggressors.

I want TD to win it and Froome to give it everything he has..then I am happy!

Froome please go apes$%t!!!!

So Gen what is the perfect outcome for you??

Yeah Yates - I haven't quite warmed to the man yet.

Tommy D is also a bit gormless although his poo giro win did earn him a bunch of street cred.

My emotional order:

Froome, TommyD, Yates.

My logical order:

TommyD, Yates, Froome.

PozzyV I don't rate when the hard hitters start firing on all cylinders.

I'd like Ben O Connor to make the top 10 but that's unlikely.

Today is going to be a cracker of a stage. I have not been allowed to watch the giro as much as I always used to as my lightie has an addiction to blaze and the monster machines. When a 2.5 y/o comes to you and says blaze please, how can I not change to channel 307/308 for a few min. Unfortunately today he will have to wait till the stage is done. Either way, whoever doesn't get to watch their chosen channel today there will be a tantrum.

But damn the racing has been incredible so I just want to see them battling it out to the very end..whoever comes out on top will be the deserved champ...
