"Residents" blocking the proposed Stellenberg trail..

I think some people who don't want it there is thinking of a skate park where "all the rebellious teenagers hang out". My mail was sent. When this will go ahead, please let us remember to not have a naked bike ride there otherwise there will be alot of binoculors pointing from a certain direction. And the complaints will only come AFTER the event while secretly waiting for the next one.

Just read the document at:

information notice

Why would these people NOT want this?

Perceptions of:

- Increased traffic and impact on parking

- Disruptive kids

- Increase rubbish & litter being left on the park

And just change in general, where the look and feel is going to change.

Holding thumbs, rather put the extra effort in than assuming everyone else will do their bit.  Looking forward to the development

  • 1 month later...

When i was a Teenager in the 70's  at school as  Skateboarders ...we weren't allowed to skate on pavements, in parking lots,  G-forbid skating in the road,Skateboards were confiscated if you Dared roll over the station platform...they wouldn't build us parks ,ramps or runs because it attract the wrong element and be the centers of alcohol and drug abuse...

Now i'm all grown up and a mtbiker and we seem to be getting the same DOODOO.
