Chris Froome returns adverse analytical finding for Salbutamol

Good old tall poppy syndrome.

As an example MicheltonScott have a convicted doper leading their TdF quest and their line up will most likely include a local rider who dodged a bullet Froome style not so long ago. Why are the social media lynch squad not harassing these guys? They are, after all, guilty of the very things Sky have not (yet?) been found guilty of....

Don't forget Haymans miracle comeback from injury win at Roubaix... broken arm in the early classics, no worries, hop on Zwift and pitch up at Roubaix for the win

Forgot about that! Good old Matty Hayman who's only single figure palmares include a few spotted jersey attempts and a big number 1 at ParisRoubaix.

Damn doping. His PR win should be a celebration of everything together on a single day covering him in lifelong glory but thanks to doping we're left thinking "but did he really?"

Like you say they are a surprise, but surely that would mean that there are is real good possibility that the person won't be home at that specific point in time. They may be out at the shop, or even out training seen as we are talking about athletes here, and in cycling athletes do spend many long hours  on training ride, physio, rehab, strength work, sponsorship meeting  etc.

Athletes on the Whereabouts program have to designate a specific hour every day that they are willing to be tested.  And they have to be at their chosen location for that entire hour.

"

The information that needs to be submitted:

>> A primary residential address.

>> Training locations, dates and times.

>> Any temporary addresses (e.g. when on holiday).

>> Flight information (i.e. flight no. departure and arrival times).

>> Competition locations, dates and accommodation details.

>> A specific 60-minute time slot and location.

During the 60 minute time slot:

>> You are required to be available for testing at the nominated location.

>> If you need to change this, you can do so right up until the start of the 60-minute time slot.

>> You must stay at the designated location for the whole of the 60-minutes."

Here's an article on CyclingTips about it: https://cyclingtips.com/2016/06/living-with-the-whereabouts/

But they make cool backstage pass videos, and are likeable.

I think they just as questionable as everybody else, but they achieved what SKY tried to achieve, being perceived as clean. They just went about it in the right way, by being likeable..... very clever.

That they're Australian makes the 'likeable' part most perplexing  ^_^

Nothing some clever hires cant sort out.

Hire a South African who cant wipe a counter - get the SA support

Hire a doping Brit and his brother - get the GB support

Hire a columbian with a big smile - get their and lots of other support

The Australians on their team are not as likeable.... to your point, Gerrans is cool though.

He and Richie have a lot of work on their hands, fixing Cadels mess.

Futile, even the sponsors are giving up... [emoji6]

Froome Dawg may be touted as a legend especially with a 5th maillot jaune.

But this political mess, his exceeding of more than double of salbutamol and the highly questionable and unethical nonsense from his team is tainting his achievements.

Pity.

However, he will never have Weet-Bix for breakfast unless by choice. His wallet is bursting.

Double has already been officially revised down to only 47% ±1470mg or whatever. If they made a 53% mistake the first time what other mistakes did they make :)

And you did not join them why?

Because I came from dinner with Alberto and the Saxo Bank team so had had enough to drink by then and only manages a " good on you Mate" before hitting the sack...

There is a nice long climb here where I live..think I might do a test one day..go up timed..then come back down..take 10 or so puffs and race back up.

Going by all the Doper squad attention this thing turned Froome into a superhuman somehow so might get me a KOM or 2?

Just a question here to all the expert's that think dominating like Lance must equal doping.

Do you know what Armstrongs bio passport would have looked like while winning all those years? He hardly passed the test during his comeback..now imagine what it looked like during the prime days.

Do you even u understand performance physiology?

Do you understand what the passport do and how it works.

My opinion on this doping crap in cycling is it has gone way to far.We are way to focussed on petty stuff and it creates so much negativity. It really is not worth the damage...

When was the last time a top rider has been bust for any really performance enhancing stuff??

So if someone can oparate within the passport parameters does it really matter? One guy uses an altitude tent..the other micro dosing..both get a 1% increase...??Both are operating within their OWN physiology..NOT some predefined limit. So both optimze on OWN God given parameters and the passport track and show any abnormal behavior.

Only thing to me that is a bit contentious in endurance sport is the weight loss aids..that won't be managed via the passport and can be seen as creating an unfair advantage.

Anyway Puff away Froome..you and Sky somehow managed to come up with "stuff" that the collective of all of the endurance world with all of their money and doctors and specialist has not been able to do.That is one hell of an acheivement!!!

Or maybe that "stuff" is working on weaknesses like descending a bike really really fast and you work on it for years and years until your rider had mastered it or look into drag created when accelerating seated versus standing......
