Afternoon run done and dusted. After 5 runs so far this year, I'm starting to feel a slight pain in my right knee, so I'm going to carry on with Tae Bo until the pain goes away, and perhaps do some core exercises.

Hah, Cinnabon, my all time weakness.

Every time I fill up I look for a gas station with a Cinnabon outlet, then I buy the classic box with 4 minni cinnabon buns and a coffee to go.

Hmm mm..............I think I need gas now...!

Nice man! My knee pain went away the more I ran. Odd but true.

Edit. Since I stoped drinking or rather having beer. I lost almost 1kg in two days. Now I’m craving sweet stuff. Could it be because of the sugars in beer?

Nah, I'm not going to take a chance with more running until the pain goes away. Maybe my running form is wrong, so once the pain has gone, I'll hopefully run in the right form.

It could be the sugar in beer, I'm not too sure. Although the sugar in beer is different to let's say the sugar in coca cola. If you're craving sweet stuff, maybe munch an orange or a few strawberries as a substitute, or a health bar or two. Saying that, I don't think there's any harm in a chocolate, but in moderation, not every day, lol, maybe on your cheat day. Dark chocolate is quite healthy, but also in moderation.

I could be wrong, but the only time I had junk food and sweet stuff was on my cheat days in 2015, and my cheat day was a Sunday.

Probably a good idea to push to much. Yea I had some dark chocolate earlier. Also read it is better for you. Hit the spot!

Ok, the holiday is over, the school emails have started.

So now it is diet time.

We will start tomorrow. And I will include a bike ride after another close call with skin cancer.

Flip, managed to do my back in lifting a fallen tree on the weekend. Can hardly move. All thoughts of cycling or running out the window. Physio said I can’t even fly anywhere this week. Will have to try and lose weight on diet alone, for this week anyway.

I must say that after only 3 days of eating clean, my body feels so much better in general! I use to struggle with bloating (induced by a poor diet the last 3 months) and I have immediately noticed a difference for the better.

I have not gotten back into training this week however as the gym at my office only opens next week Monday.

I hope diet alone this week is going to help me because I have a 15km run this Friday night and a 1.6km swim lined up for Sunday. Oh, and of course Parkrun on Saturday (I'm getting that 50 Shirt this year

Going to get a new watch strap for my TomTom watch and rather run with that once the pain in my knee has gone. This Strava app on my phone is on something, it says I burnt 3810 calories yesterday, and all I did was a 3km run.

Check what weight and age you have added in to the app. Also, if it is linked to other apps, check your weight on those apps. It is operating from incorrect info somewhere

Man, yesterday I really stuck to my eating plan.

I got home after gym and bam! No electricity.

Before I could act, someone ordered a pizza!

Damn you Eskom! Damn you!

Will go speak to your boss now to pay you less so you can't afford pizza in the middle of January... :P
