Im surprised that somebody hasn't told him that roadies suck and that he should rather buy a MTB.

Yes! Road cycling sucks. All roadies are soft. And what's with the tights and shiny shoes? The OP should definitely buy a mountain bike. An Enduro one.

Haha. Ok confession time. I have and Enduro bike and a DH bike And a Fixi of course. I rode the DH bike yesterday and I liked it. I was wearing a Full Face. I only ride MTB in baggies (with a bib underneath of course)

What's the functional advantage of wearing the baggies then? Especially as you are wearing bibs under? Are you also wearing undies under the bibs? As a roadie I don't seem to understand the point. But as one who will be venturing into the MTB area in the near future, I am interested to know is there a point to the baggies?

Apologies for the hi-jack, just want to make sure that this isn't the same as the sock length issue that we as roadies have to deal with

The only reason for the baggies (if you are not a trail rider) is that it is the in thing and cool at this stage. Well its the only reason I bought a few pairs anyway

You can't wear kneepads & a bib. You just can't.

No undies in a bib. From a functional perspective baggies (at least the ones i have) don't come with a chamois.

Hijack off.
