Always thought sponsorships made sense for bike manufacturers so wonder what the reasons could be.

There were some rumours that that the Aussies were involved in bike tampering. Some sandpaper was found in one of the mechanics kit.

I carry sand paper with me on my bike. I use it to fix punctures in my tubes. I just hope that I'm not going to be branded an Australian for that. I can think of nothing worse.

You should sand one side of your helmet, frame and shoes and early reverse swing those pesky wheel suckers into the gutter!

Andy rihs always seemed to be a guy who owned a bike company and a world tour team, and coincidentally they had the same name. It was just toys for him. BMC sure as hell didn't sell enough bicycles to pay those salaries, especially not if Cannondale couldn't hack it.

 

 

If they don't find a similar moron with more dollars than sense, then I don't see the team staying in its current format going forward. This would suck as then sky really have the advantage

Winning a white jersey doesn't make you special. That's just a prize for the young and dumb. Yellow should have been the colour to aim for. But I guess he didn't want people to think he's dirty like LA.
