Where to ride today (CT and surrounds)

Hi guys.

I don't often get a whole day off by myself, but today is such a day.

 

I'm a Tygerberg MTB member and have ridden all these trails and particularly enjoy the Cobra, Lombards Terra, Conties (except the downhill line).

 

I've also ridden Jonkershoek twice as well as Rhebokskloof, Welvanpas, Oak Valley, Paul Cluver and Coetzenburg.

 

Any suggestions where to go to today, which is fairly safe and well marked as I'll be on my own and won't know the trail?

Tokai is pretty nice, was there by myself on Saturday. Lots of trails to keep you occupied. Routes are marked and there is a downloadable map. Or download the trail forks app.

It doesn't take much to persuade me to go to paul cluver given the time. I love it there...

 

But in that list the missing card is tokai

So I just finished Tokai. Awesome. The DH line below the snake trails is so flowy and fun, wish I had this in my backyard.

 

I got a bit lost once or twice when I thought Im on a higher contour than I were but found "Tony" at the second from highest snake trailhead and he gave good advice. He recognised me as the noob that posted this morning.

 

Definitely coming back, want to do all those lip jumps on the bottom DH line.

So do I have this correct? Is membership for Tokai R300 per year but its R81 per ride for non members?

I feel like just getting a membership..

Will definitely want to get there at least 4 times a year

It's a SANParks wildcard, it's actually R540(or something) a year, but if you get 4 mates together 1st 1 pays full the rest pay R150(or something), then it works out to just under R300 per person
