Experience with CRC's move from DHL to SkyNet?

When I was disputing my admin fee I was in contact with the following people (A new name got cc'd in after every reply as if to say "ah cute, the peasants are trying to rise up").

Emmah Matlhoko <emmahm@skynet.co.za> <--- International Entry Clerk (and sender of invoices)

Maxeen Naidoo <maxeenn@skynet.co.za> <--- Imports Admin Supervisor

ristan <ristan@skynet.co.za>

Vicky Bettermann <Vicky.Bettermann@skynetworldwide.com>

I emailed Emmah after I paid in order to get updates on my shipment.

I understand that these people are just doing their jobs and that SkyNet International probably sets the rules, it just sucks.

In other news, My package did arrive, 2 weeks later, with half the contents missing. I suspect this is a CRC problem and not a Skynet problem though. My concern is, if CRC send my missing items, am I going to be charged and admin fee again? I refuse

Excellent

Thanks bud

Their whole MO is to make it appear that customs is the blocker when in fact they are just stalling as long as possible...

Then when they send their status reports each month to CRC or whoever else, it just shows that they did their part in record time, but Customs is useless (which is not the case!).

Dodgy behavior like that seems to be 'a thing' in the courier industry (who isn't dodgy anyway right?). In the instance below, the couriers are willingly falsifying delivery dates to appease Herr Senderr.

According to a CBS Atlanta report, USPS supervisors are giving mail carriers direct orders to misrepresent delivery times. A former mail carrier told CBS they had to follow these specific instructions:

“At 7:15, whatever you have not delivered, pull your truck over to the side of the road and scan every single one of your amazon packages...”

A current mail carrier told them something similar:

“Basically, we have to falsify the timing, and a lot of carriers don’t want to do that, but we’re mandated to with a direct order.”

But why lie to Amazon customers about their packages? Because if they have late deliveries, they don’t fulfill Amazon Prime’s two-day delivery guarantee, and that jeopardizes the USPS’s contract with Amazon. But if they say they delivered things on time that puts the onus back on Amazon. Instead of the USPS losing their contract, Amazon is forced to make things right for its customers.

I vented on Facebook, and got a far prompter and less generic answer than my e-mails to them.

I suggest Hubbers flood their social media pages with similar complaints.  Far more powerful than e-mails which potential customers can't see.

Just a word of caution based on my recent experience. If you order from CRC just specify that you want everything sent together in one parcel. I ordered 4 tyres, received 2 yesterday through SkyNet, paying their ludirous fee, and will probably be asked to pay this again when the remaining 2 tyres arrive. I refuse

Hope that's not the case.

paying this "admin fee" once is already enough , but twice!!!! :cursing:

Exactly what has happened to my order!

Nope. I told them that if that's the case they are going to have to make a plan to get me my stuff without me incurring additional fees (happy to pay VAT). It's not fair to me, and it's not fair to others in my position

Unfortunately CRC split the orders, not Skynet...

Push CRC regarding the admin fee from Skynet. Send them the invoice to show them you are paying double the fee for one order.

Sure they will compensate with voucher.

Absolutely! This is on CRC, and honestly the way things are going a voucher is the last thing I want because I'd have to use SkyNet to deliver anything I bought with the voucher

Agree...plan to use free shipping next time and take my chances. I'm waiting 20+ days for "express" delivery, so 2 or 3 weeks more without paying shipping and using their voucher might work for me!

Update on my issue. Received the invoice and saw they screwed me somewhat but need the part a I decided just to shut-up and pay because I will get nowhere fast.

Did an immediate transfer and send the proof of payment because I wanted to speed up the process.

Received an e-mail from Dalene right now that the funds only showed today and that customs will take another 24 - 48hours to release the parcel.

As most of you said they don't read...they just do tick boxes... Mail customer invoice (Check)...wait 24hours mail reply customs (Check)...mail....(Check) instead of actually reading what the customers attached and said in body of the mail.

When I receive my parcel I will mail CRC with everything especially timelines and ask them what did I pay express for.

Could also be that you are number 799 in the que of emails/items/goods that must be processed. Locally we have similar wit some of our suppliers where some takes a week to send us goods as far away as Vereeniging to 4 to 6 weeks for a supplier in the Cape. Also dependent on how busy they are to process, pick and package orders.

DHL used to handle those 799 orders just fine...
