Funny ... I really enjoyed mine and they were rocking for many years on many bikes.

I could never get used to them  :whistling:

I had them on my first Anthem and I battled at first but got used to them. Actually tried to find somebody to swap with when I got my next bike that was fitted with traditional trigger shifters.

These are before my time, what was the “issue” with them?

The brake levers were also your shift lever.Grabbed a handful of brakes when i was shifting to my granny gear and went flying over the bars.

from a design perspective, this is actually one of the better ones around. Most other companies have followed in their footsteps, and while it's true that the OS and functionality has lagged in recent iterations (decidedly NON Steve Jobs-esque) it's an iconic and brilliant design.

Okes that ride a mx bike once or twice as a lightie are now bikers and must change their brakes over on their mtb. Claim its the right way. "So genius, tell me this, How do you brake on the rear wheel? Move your brake to your pedal?"

Haha good comeback

However being one of those ex mx / motorsickle laatjies i can assure you the right foot and left hand cooperate 100 % and without hesitation in this regard.

For some reason the same cannot be said for the right and left hands, therefore the logical conclusion is that right front is correct.
