The little silicon knob is getting buggered

When you remove it and press the inner know it is most likely to be fine

I'm waiting it TWT can supply me with a replacement silicon knob

Certainly going to contact them too - mine stopped working a while back - it was way out of warranty so I was getting ready to toss it into the bin - but going to chat to Ryan now and see if it can be repaired!

And a belated shout-out to Grant from TWT for sorting out my light - I should have posted this earlier when my light was returned, but I really forgot.  It was only this morning when I woke up to loadshedding and couldn't find my torch when I remembered my light on my bike.  Instant daylight!

Some useful info - Lezyne bicycle lights make brilliant auxiliary shaving lights during loadshedding...

Hoping the collective Hub experts can assist ....

I bought the 800XL

NICE light !!!

Second ride, I switched it on ... but did not press the button for a full 2 seconds.  The green indicator came on though.  Realising I did not switch the light on, I pressed the button again (for the full 2 seconds) .... DEAD .... nothing nada boggerall ....

I knew it was charged, but plugged it into the charger .... the green light flashed .... I pressed the button and it worked perfectly.

Three rides later, and the exact same situation repeats ....

Put it on charge for 10 seconds and it works again ....

Deliberately repeated the button sequence and it dies again, until I put it on charge.

PS - the Bontrager at the rear starts up immediately on a single press, then out of habit I do the single press in the front (not the proper 2 second hold) ....

Is there any way to "reset" the light ?

I did phone the shop.  Their advise it to let the battery run down all the way, then do a full recharge ..... if this dont work they will follow up with the suppliers.

i got caught in a thunderstorm on thursday morning, lights where on and stayed on, turned them off when I got home.

Friday morning I try and switch the front light on, it turns on then turns off straight away. Tried twice and then decided its probably just the battery that needs charging.

When I got home from work on friday I plugged it in and the charge light would not come on, decided to leave it plugged in as maybe its really really flat.

Went out for a few hours when I came back it still was not charging. Hoping that its something cheaply and easily fixable, but based on the weather I rode in it might have gotten water in somehow.

Based on this thread I've popped two wheels trading an email, lets see if they can help.

I've been happy with the quality. this is the first issue I've had, and to be fair the kind of rain I was riding in was more like riding through a waterfall

My first unit acted up in the first month, thus the swop out.

Second one has done about 1 500km.  Couple of rides of 7 hours+ with the light on strobe.  VERY happy with it.

Just too many posts of controller issues with these ....  seems a bit hit-and-miss ....  real pity.

and its working again.

I left it in my drawer. But I'm the type of person that will keep checking.

Pushed the button this morning and it turned on, did everything its supposed to do. So I've plugged it in to charge now.

Very strange, but happy I dont need to buy a new one.

Ooooohhhhh .... HOPE this was "once off" ......

so do I.

But TWT responded to my email sent on saturday, to which I let them know the unit is working.

They have provided a few possible reasons why it could have happened and have recommended that I spray some Tool-In-A-Can inside the unit just in case.
