Brakes - Shimano to SRAM

Hi all

Looking at swapping brakes from Shimano Deore to SRAM Level TL on my new bike (prefer the SRAM feel). Discs would stay the same size (180mm front and rear). Am I correct in assuming I wouldn't need any adaptors to fit up the SRAM brakes, it would just be a straight swap with some internal cable wrangling and a bit of bleeding?

Yes as long as the disc's remain the same the caliper is a straight swap.

Just make sure your shifters and brake leavers are separate on the bar.

Thanks! Have Matchmakers to sort that out

Don't do it!! Rather get Shimano XT

Yup, it's Friday...

OP, FWIW I agree with you. But there will be many more evangelists on this thread.

There fixed.

oh and happy Friday.

You ever bled Brembo brakes on a KTM? SRAM is a piece of cake after you've been through that ordeal ;)

Translation - "I can't do it properly therefore the product is crap."

There are plenty of people who can do the job properly, maybe get one of them to do it.
