Vetplant Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Stage 3 All the fun in the back 60km of the stage, finishing with the final 500m at 8% gradient. Should be easy to control the breakaway, so those going up the road will do it for airtime. More of a classics-rider stage. Sagan, EBH, Kristoff, Mathews? Caleb Ewan is probably a good call, he has been doing good in these uphill finishes in 2019. Be at your TV by 16h20 and you should catch them as they approach the first kick. Expect GvA to follow a move on the foot of the Cat 4 to hold onto the polka-dot a little while longer

Alaphippe and Valverde also licking their lips.. would also not surprise me at all to see Dan Martin in the mix. To add.. as for DDD they will really have to work very hard for a long period of time to try and not get bullied out by the big teams for those last 10km, perhaps today is a good day to send Cummings in the break? And now that i think about it.. that intermediate sprint point could also make things complicated... depending on who is in the break and how big the breakaway group is.. we know Sagan likes getting as many points as possible early on in the TDF. Many aspects to today's stage hey.
Gen Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 And maybe Groenewegen if he has recovered enough???I think the whole stage is too difficult for Dylan (perhaps have an eye on tomorrow)and I think Bora and DQ will go out to make this stage difficult. Think Jumbo will work for Van Aert today, he could end up in Yellow.

Long Wheel Base Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I do not... is it with our Sagan?Indeed. Tyler looks rather happy. I have raced with/against(briefly as the lightie can turn a crank pretty well) him and he is obviously a Sagan fan as he wears Sagans black world champ helmet. He now has a very brag-worthy picture.
