That was what I thought it looked like but surely it can't be. Someone riding a bike of that caliber must know something about where a speedo is meant to go.

All cleared up, apparently the bike was being test ridden after being worked on in a home based workshop.

The original information was sketchy when put out on the Crime Prevention forums and that is how I got it.

 

At least a good ending to this.

It's coz the owner uses it on an IDT but the cateye's range is only about 1m
